#QUICKTIP NO.1 - DIY COLORWHEEL

THE PICTURE ABOVE IS CREATED WITH A SINGLE CIRCLE BLADE ON A WALTHER P7 WHERE I SWITCHED BETWEEN "STATIC ON" AND "STROBE" MODE.

 

THIS QUICKTIP IS FOR THE LOVERS OF COLOR-VARIATIONS, EQUAL IF YOU USE IT FOR TUBES, BLADES OR ONLY ON TORCHES, IT´S A SIMPLE WAY OF CREATING A DRASTIC CHANGE TO YOUR COLORED OUTPUT.

HERE ARE THE SINGLE STEPS:

​

- CREATE A BLANK Din A4 QUEER FORMAT PICTURE WITH 300dpi IN PS

- SEARCH ONLINE FOR "COLORWHEEL" PICTURES

- GRAB DIFFERENT VARIATIONS FROM YOUR BROWSER BY TAKING

  SCREENSHOTS OR SAVE THEM TEMPORARY

- PASTE THEM IN YOUR NEW BLANK PS IMAGE

- Do THIS WITH VARIATIONS AND MULTIPLY THEM TWICE SO YOU GET

  THREE TIMES THE SAME COLORWHEEL NEXT TO EACHOTHER

- MERGE THESE INTO ONE LAYER

- COPY/PASTE ONE ROW, MOVE IT TO THE EMPTY PART OF YOUR DRAFT

  AND CHANGE THE HUE SETTINGS

- PASTE THE LAYER AGAIN, ROTATE IT AND CAHNGE YOUR LAYER

  TO "MULTIPLY"

- SELECT YOUR FAVORITE COLORGRADES

- REPEAT THIS PROCESS AND REDUCE COLORS BY CHANGING

  THE LAYERS HUE SETTINGS AGAIN

- ROTATE CANVAS TO EDGEWISE AND PRINT THIS NOW TO OVERHEAD FOIL

- MASURE UP YOUR TORCH FRONT DIAMETER

- DRAW AN OUTLINE ON TOP OF YOUR PRINTED CIRCLES

- CUT OUT THE 3 SAME SIZED CIRCLES WITH SCISSORS

- OVERLAY AND TAPE THE 1st AND THE 2nd CIRCLE WITH TRANSPARENT TAPE

- REPEAT THIS WITH THE 3rd CIRCLE

- NOW INSERT THE COLORWHEEL CIRCLE ON TOP OF YOUR TORCH INTO AN EMPTY LENSCAP OR DIRECTLY INTO THE BLADE ADAPTER
